    You can contact the county bar association there. But it is not at all likely that you will find one, unless it’s quite a special and especially worthy case.

    Pro bono publico translates as “for the public good.” There are some lawyers that sometimes take on work for the good of society without fee. There are some that take on work for the private interests of someone while arranging to be paid by a third party, as in legal aid lawyers working for an outfit that pays the lawyer via donations. Also, public defenders who take on private interests and are paid by the taxpayers. The lawyer who routinely takes on a private interest without any source of payment lives next door to the plumber who routinely fixes pipes without being paid.
